This silent insight meditation retreat will focus on direct experiential understanding of the Buddha’s teachings of awakening. There will be meditation instructions, inquiry and dharma talks. The retreat is suitable for those new to meditation and also for very experienced practitioners.
Find release from the habitual patterns of negativity and distress through the cultivation of composure, stillness and serenity.
The dharma talks will cover some of the main teachings of the Buddha including Not Self, Impermanence, Dependent Arising, and the Emptiness Teachings.
About Suchitra Shenoy
Suchitra Shenoy teaches from the discourses of the Buddha, emphasising practice in daily life.
In addition to leading meditation retreats in India and online, Suchitra co-teaches with Radha Nicholson in Hyderabad and the Royal Thai Monastery in Bodhgaya, and online, the Buddha Wisdom series with Christopher Titmuss. She offers one-on-one sessions too, including for participants in Christopher’s Mindfulness Teacher Training Course (MTTC).
Her teachers include Christopher Titmuss and Bhante Gunaratana.
Suchitra is a writer of narrative non-fiction published by Hachette, HarperCollins and Berrett Koehler. Her latest book, Moy Moy’s Circle, is a true story of love, disability and the world we can build together. She holds degrees from Brandeis University and the London School of Economics
